I don't know about anyone else but I am super excited about Christmas this year more than I have ever before! While I enjoy the holiday very much it's not my most favorite holiday because The Fourth of July is my top favorite and Thanksgiving is a close second. The thing I love and enjoy about December and January in general is that it is an opportunity to spend time with your family and loved ones and just have a happy festive time to remember. I look forward to giving gifts to my family and best friend I am visiting this year and cannot wait to see what I get also but am mostly excited to be in the spirit of giving. I've donated almost ten dollars to the Salvation Army which I feel is a huge accomplishment because it goes towards those are not as fortunate as I am.
I've never been to Black Friday sales before and I'm not particularly sure if that would be a good idea xD I went with my mom and younger brother to a Wal-Mart a couple years ago the Saturday after Black Friday and it was crazy in there. Maybe when I'm older I'll go into stores on Black Friday but until then I'll just have to enjoy a nice day in. My most favorite thing about the holiday season next to giving to different charities and buying presents for my loved ones is going to Starbucks. Drinking their holiday drinks has become a tradition with my mom and I and my favorite drink to purchase during the season is a peppermint mocha or a classic chai tea.
One thing I just started doing sometime within a few years ago is doing a full room clean out which I will explain some more about now in case if you don't know what that means. Basically I go through everything in my bedroom and I'm not even exaggerating. I go through my clothes, drawers and closet to see the things I don't want. I organize it and if possible try my best to make a stop to Goodwill since there is a local one in our town. It's not that my room is overcrowded or anything like that. I just like staying organized and when I clean my room out at the end or beginning of the New Year I feel as though I have a fresh new clean slate to start out on. Then a bunch of new things come in including presents :) I also do another clean out over spring break. I call that one "Spring Cleaning" because that's just what it is.
Thanks for reading,
