FOODIE GIFTS:
You could make some brownies, cookies, or cupcakes.
But here are a few other ideas....
Tic tac toe
Pick up a tray of already-baked, already-frosted cupcakes and a package of Red Hots. Arrange the Red Hots into “X” and “O” shapes on top of the cupcakes, then place in the box like a tic tac toe board.
Put your heart up
Snag a bag of chunky pretzels (rods or twisted), heart-shaped sprinkles and a bag of white chocolate chips (or a bar of white chocolate). Melt the chocolate in a heat-proof bowl, stirring every so often to keep it smooth. Dip on end of the pretzel into the bowl, roll in the sprinkles and set on wax paper to dry.
Fruit snacks
If pineapple and melons are lookin’ good at your local grocery store, pick up your favorites and slice ‘n’ dice. Use a heart-shaped cookie cutter to make them heart-shaped, then stick ‘em on a skewer for the perfect lunchtime treat.
Heart breaker
Melt two bags of white chocolate chips in a heat-proof bowl, then spread evenly onto a wax paper-lined jelly roll pan (a cookie sheet with sides). Sprinkle on your favorite small V-Day candies, like Red Hots, heart-shaped sprinkles and more. Toss in the refrigerator until firm, then break apart. Text me!
Grab one of those huge Rice Krispies Treats Bars (or a box of snack-sized ones). Cut it down into smaller rectangles and use colored frosting to write out cute messages, like the ones you’d find on a conversation heart.
OTHER IDEAS:
Write/make a card.
Decorate a notebook.
Bag of sweets.
Chocolate.
Cootie shot!
Make a cootie catcher for each of your buds and include different things about them—favorite colors, numbers and crushes. When they pick the right combo, they pop up your V-Day message.
Rock out
Make a mix tape for all your besties. Include songs that belong on the soundtrack of your lives together—like the jam you all boogied to at the Sadie Hawkins dance, and that tune that’s become a huge inside joke.
Just playin’
Hit up the dollar store and snag some plastic toys on the cheap—think animals and ridiculous action figures. Make little signs to hang around their necks that say corny things like “You’re a super friend” (for a super hero) or “Being your bestie is a blast” (for a rocket) or “You rock” (for a toy guitar) or even “You rule” (on little rulers).
Go ahead, burst my bubble
Pick up a pack of balloons at a party store along with each of your buds’ favorite candies. Fill each balloon with one bud’s pick, then blow it up, tie it off and decorate the exterior with magic markers. Just make sure to write down which is which! Your girls can pop ‘em before homeroom and munch all day.
Insta-awesome
Snap a picture of you holding a sweet message, making a heart shape with your hands or blowing a kiss. Post in Instagram, share on Twitter or your buds Facebook walls or simply email to everyone you love.THESE IDEAS WERE FROM:
