A Writing Challenge: Running

This story is for my entry for the overall  theme "Writing Challenge".

RUNNING

It was a stormy night. 

A night I would remember forever. 

It was the night my life changed. 

My life would never be the same again.

About a year ago my father had disappeared.

My mother had died a month ago.

Then my older sister died in childbirth, along with her child.

And now I'm an orphan, left to look after my five year old sister and two year old brother.

And we are on the run!

We are running away from the women who wants to take us away to some horrid place they call an orphanage.
We are running away from a lady who wants to care for my siblings.
We are running away from the men who say we owe him $100000
We have no where to go.... all we know is that we have to get away.
Get to somewhere safe.
Run.
Run.
Running.
Running.
That is all we know.
That is all we can do.
I don't know where I am going to go.
I don't know what will happen to us.
All I know is now.
Running.
Running.
Running away.
Running to anywhere.... but here.
