Interstellar (2014)
Director - Christopher Nolan
Cast - Mathew McConaughey, Anne Hathaway, Jessica Chastain, Micheal Caine
This movie was just beautiful! Simply beautiful in every way.Christopher Nolan is just amazing. He literally takes your breath away by taking you along with him on an epic journey through space and time.
The story is set in the future when Earth's resources have run out and heat waves have caused shortage of food. A group of explorers travel beyond our solar system in search of a planet that can sustain life. The crew of the Endurance go further than any human in history as they embark on an interstellar voyage into the unknown. Cooper, the pilot of the Endurance, has to decide between seeing his children again and the future of the human race.
The movie is beautifully directed with excellent cinematography and set decoration. Mathew McConaughey's touching performance takes this movie to a whole new level. The incredible score by the ah-mazing Hans Zimmer deserves special mention here. It is what makes this movie the epic that it is.
Nolan does not disappoint us here. Those who have watched his previous movies will have high hopes for Interstellar and Nolan has nailed it! With the final twist in this movie, Nolan truly displays his talent. He is a genius that we movie fans are lucky to have.
Nolan's movies are never just mindless entertainment. He asks his audience to wrack their brains a little to experience something out of this world. Whether it is a trip to the fifth dimension or deep into the subconscious, nobody does it like Christopher Nolan.
This movie is one of the best I've seen in a long time and I would recommend it to anyone who is reading this.
